Sometimes things actually do go right

I got big news a few days ago that my mind is still trying to digest. Happy news, for once. My husband? The one who had been extended in what we military folk affectionately refer to as "the sandbox"? The one who wasn't supposed to be home until December? The one who was most likely going to miss the baby's first steps, first word, yet another Halloween, Lindsay's birthday, and Thanksgiving? The one me and the kids have been missing so much that I am just fatigued all the time and the kids ask for Every Day?

Yeah, him.

He's coming home early. As in, a few weeks.

I would outwardly express my emotions, but I am pretty sure it would cause a supernova and you know, destroy the earth. Which would be bad. Suffice to say, I am a little more than mildly pleased.

The only downside is the weight I thought I had 2 months to lose, cannot be lost in two weeks. Sigh.

And I agree that the weight will not matter, when he sees you & the kids, there will be nothing else :)

Oh, I'm so happy to hear it! For whatever reason he's been on my mind lately. I'm glad he'll be home soon. He'll be so happy to see you that whatever you wanted to lose won't matter!
