Things Learned in the Great Smoky Mountains

1. Bugs exist that will haunt my dreams for years to come.

2. Having no plans are sometimes the best plans of all.

3. Sitting in a hot tub under the stars is a good thing.

4. It's dark in the mountains at night. Dark enough that even the dog will be freaked out and refuse to pee until the sun comes up.

5. Our dog can hold her pee for a REALLY long time.

6. I can burn through over 200 pictures at one spot on an outing.

7. People will cause a traffic jam to take a photo of deer.

8. People will also walk TOWARDS a bear, even if all they are armed with is a camera.

9. Turns out, I am one of those people.

10. After such an amazing weekend, where we live seems really boring.
