I am a shopping ninja

Ok, a bunch of my friends and such are probably all sick of hearing about this. Oh well, I am writing about it here too, because I am still on a bit of a high about it.

During our move last summer, Lindsay's bed frame suffered its demise. Since then, she has just been on her mattress and box spring on the floor. About a month ago I decided it was time to start looking for a bed frame for her. I wanted something cute and girly, but didn't want to spend an arm and a leg. Which is pretty much next to impossible.

This past Saturday, I decided to hit Goodwill, just to see what they had. I walked back to where they keep the furniture, and something caught my eye. It was white and looked like a headboard. I go back and look, and it is! It's a headboard and footboard and about a million other pieces. It's white and has flowers. No one seems to know what kind of bed it is. Some speculated it was actually some fancy crib. I was certain though that the headboard was twin sized. It was only $40, so I decided to buy it. I figured it would make a fun day project for the hubby. "Here, figure out what in the heck this is!"

I got it home, and saw there was a website on the bed. So I went to the website and got the shock of my life. The bed was not only a twin bed, it was a twin bed with a trundle! And I had gotten all the pieces! Woot!

I then went to Costco's site, and found the model we have, because I was curious what the bed costs new. Remember, I only paid $40 for the one I got. And the retail price of one of these suckers new? Well, see for yourself:

Total. Ninja.

Holy crap, that's the best Goodwill find EVER! Nice work, and the bed is absolutely adorable. I can't wait to see what it looks like in the room!

Thanks! I hope to get pictures this weekend, after we get the room all arranged. I still haven't painted yet either, sigh.

Thanks Michelle! And it's perfect for the diva-in-training, Lindsay, too. Lol!

It's been great. Lindsay had been going through a phase where she was refusing to sleep in her room. The new bed has changed that completely.
