Meghann's Wild Kingdom Episode 1

We've had a bit of excitement around here the past week or so. A pair of cardinals has built a nest in our rose bush! It is exciting for me, because 99% of the birds in our neighborhood are doves, sparrows, and grackles, with the occasional blue jay. I had actually seen the nest and eggs (two of them!) before I was privy to seeing who the parents were. The bush is right in front of our kitchen window, so if you creep up slowly, you can peek through the curtains and see them. I have been sneaking tons of pictures and am going to document this the best I can. I know I have to stay on top of it, because reading online, it seems the babies grow very fast.

Anyways, here's a few pictures.

The mom in the nest, taken through the kitchen window. Apparently I am not as sneaky as I think, because she is glaring at me.

The eggs!
