Preparing the wagon once again

We love to travel. Really, we do. Even long drives really don't phase us. I mean, yes, usually at some point the kids will be fighting and/or screaming in the middle of the most boring stretch of road that exists, and we'll fantasize about driving the car off a cliff, but for the most part, things go fine. We are also firm believers that the kids learn to ride better the more you do it. Case in point-when we drove all the way from Georgia to New York in June, the kids actually did fine.

Anyways, it's time to hit the road once more. This time it will be just me and the kids, as the hubby has to work. We'll be leaving in just over a week for that exotic resort destination: Missouri. Actually, we'll be going there for pretty much the same reason anyone who visits Missouri does, to see family. Sometimes it's nice to go on a vacation where you'll pretty much be just hanging out with the people you love.

Besides, our "fancy" vacation will come just a few weeks later. We'll be headed to Tybee Island for the last week of August. A way to end the summer with a bang. It is also desperately needed, as we haven't been to the beach in FOR. EV. ER.

I am doing my usual preparations for all of this by playing ridiculous amounts of Bejeweled. It helps clear my head so I can get things done. At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

We love Tybee! Where are you staying? We are trying to figure out a way to go in September. We didn't get to go last year and really want to go back. Have fun on both of your trips :)

Michelle, I'll email you. The house we'll be in is almost right on the beach, and could theoretically fit all of your family!
