Going on a quest

Well, it seems I actually get to have some hint of a life outside of mommyhood this evening. I get to go to a concert. We won't even discuss how long it's been since I have been to one, but I think I was in braces at the time. If you really know me, that should say everything.

But then I quickly began to think. . .what on earth am I going to wear??? I figured out a top and pants, I think. But shoes are an issue. You see, I am not a shoe person. I own somewhere in the neighborhood of three pairs. A pair of sandals, a pair of tennis shoes that scream "MOMMY", and then a pair of strappy black heels for formal occasions. So as you can see, nothing I have will work.

So I am about to head out for an hour or two to actually add a pair to my tiny shoe family. Hopefully the quest will not end up being so epic that songs are written about it. Wish me luck!
